چکیده :
This paper presents the development of an intelligent helmet designed for enhanced industrial safety. The intelligent helmet incorporates advanced features to monitor and ensure coal miners' well-being. The device is equipped with sensors to measure temperature and humidity, detect flames in the miner's surroundings, identify vibrations, and quantify carbon monoxide (CO) levels, providing a detailed description of the CO concentration. The helmet also integrates a heart rate monitoring system to measure and graph the miner's heart rate continuously. Moreover, the smart helmet includes features to determine if the miner is standing or has fallen to the ground. To tackle the challenge of subterranean GPS unavailability, the intelligent helmet uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to determine location. The system predicts the estimated time for hazardous events using a neural network (NN) based on CO levels, temperature, and humidity. The helmet integrates Long Range (LoRa) communication modules to realize seamless data communication, transmitting data to a gateway device. The gateway above ground gathers the data and sends it to a web server. This web interface gives you access to the data in real-time, so you can always check the environmental stuff, where the miners are, and their health signs. The bottom line is that smart helmets provide a full solution for industrial safety. They use new sensor tech and communication systems to protect the miners. It works well in all sorts of environments, even really tough ones.
