Design, Simulation and Analysis of a MIM Plasmonic Sensor Based on the Cross-Shaped Resonator

چکیده :
In this paper, a tunable plasmonic sensor based on metal-insulator-metal waveguides is proposed and evaluated by the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The sensor structure consists of a cross-shaped resonator with three stubs. The proposed sensor is a good candidate for biosensor applications. It has a high refractive index sensitivity of 1390 nm/RIU and a high figure of merit of 61.72 RIU−1. Compared to other works reported in this literature, many of these values are the highest.
