AC Network-Constrained Unit Commitment Integrated With RESs, ESS, and Electric Vehicle Aggregators: A Multi-Objective Approach to Enhance Voltage Stability

چکیده :
Network-constrained unit commitment (NCUC) plays a vital role in power system operational planning, determining the on/off status of generators and their level of generation. In response to rising consumer energy demand and environmental concerns about fossil fuels, renewable energy sources (RES) are increasingly integrated into power systems. In this context, energy storage systems (ESS) and plug-in electric vehicles (PEV) can be suitable solutions to address the variable nature of RESs. On the other hand, increasing the load will increase the risk of system instability, especially voltage instability. Increasing the voltage stability margin (VSM) is one way to increase the load without compromising system stability, a practical challenge in power systems. In this paper, a multi-objective operation planning coordinated with RES, ESS, and PEV is carried out to increase the voltage stability margin while reducing operating costs. A mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) model is formulated in GAMS to optimize the conducted model. The efficiency of the proposed problem is evaluated on the IEEE 24-bus test system in different case studies. Simulation results show that the coordinated presence of these devices can significantly increase the voltage stability margin while minimizing the operational costs.
