Design and Analysis of a new Hybrid Switched Reluctance Motor for Achieving High Torque

چکیده :
In this paper, a hybrid switched reluctance motor (HSRM) with a segmented stator is introduced. The motor consists of four modules, each featuring three poles with double teeth. Permanent magnets are embedded in the space between the modules, among the stator pole teeth and the yoke of each module, resulting in enhanced torque production. First, the operating principles of the proposed motor are described, followed by an analysis of its magnetic characteristics, including torque, flux-linkage, and inductance. Subsequently, the performance of this motor is compared with similar models, including a design without magnets, a 12/10 SRM, and a 12/10 HSRM, all with identical dimensions. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed HSRM outperforms the other models and produces higher torque.
