Microgrid Damping Improvement Using High-Pass Filter-Based Virtual Synchronous Generator

چکیده :
This paper presents an updated structure of the virtual synchronous generator that mimics the behavior of a conventional synchronous generator with an automatic voltage regulator and power system stabilizer control loops. Besides, an optimal high-pass filter for improved transient damping has been incorporated into the control methodology to improve microgrid dynamic performance. This approach is used to enhance microgrid dynamic stability and performance against transient disturbances. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method, comparing simulations are conducted in MATLAB/Simulink environment. The obtained results show improvement in damping response by the proposed communication-less control method.
