Resisting Multi-Warden Surveillance in Hybrid RF–Underwater Optical Networks

چکیده :
—Hybrid RF–UOWC systems offer a promising plat form for extending underwater connectivity, yet ensuring covert operation remains challenging in the presence of multiple observing Willies and practical device limitations. This paper examines a covert communication framework that employs an energy harvesting AF relay and an external jammer to enhance stealth across RF and optical segments. The analysis accounts for hard ware impairments, and interference from the jammer, providing a realistic model of operational constraints. The results show that increased power availability and efficient energy harvesting strengthen covert performance, whereas hardware imperfections (particularly at the relay) significantly limit it. Moreover, the presence of multiple Willies tightens detection boundaries and reduces covert communication capability. These insights under score the importance of coordinated energy management and impairment-aware design in enabling reliable covert transmission within hybrid RF–UOWC networks.
