چکیده :
Abstract—This paper describes a double-sided variable reluctance linear (DSVRL) resolver, which has been analyzed by the Finite Element Method (FEM). One of the crucial challenges in this type of resolver is their inaccuracies under mechanical faults. As a solution, a double-sided topology reveals better performance compared to the conventional systems. The electromagnetic model’s behavior is also investigated and then compared with a fabricated double-sided resolver in both healthy and faulty conditions. Another novelty in this study is applying soft magnetic core like ferrite in this resolver. The analogy between the theoretical and experimental results can confirm the validity of the method. Finally, the proposed periodic FEM method proposed in this study can improve the flexibility of analysis compared to the traditional FEM technique.
