The change in Individual Alpha Frequency during Neurofeedback training

چکیده :
The Individual Alpha Frequency (IAF) is related to cognitive functions corresponding to one’s performance. This study aimed to examine the effect of Neurofeedback training (NFT) protocols on EEG signal`s IAF of twelve individuals. The results showed an increase in the IAF in all participants over training process. Furthermore, the increase in IAF was positively correlated with the increase in Working Memory (WM) performance. This study demonstrated that one can change the Alpha band frequency range through altering the IAF using Neurofeedback.
