چکیده :
This paper aims to compare the control of a buck-boost DC-DC converter using a PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) algorithm-based optimized PI (Proportional Integral) controller, a fuzzy-PID controller, and a direct adaptive fuzzy controller. The buck-boost DC-DC converter has features including continuous low-ripple input current, semi-quadratic voltage gain, and common ground between input and output ports, leading to enhanced system efficiency and minimizing power switch losses. Simulation results show that three controllers effectively regulate the output voltage of the DC-DC converter. The numerical analysis shows the PI-PSO controller is highly effective in achieving the least rise time and ensuring the stability of the duty cycle. The Fuzzy-PID controller delivers quicker transient responses and reduces overshot, however, it has reduced stability in its duty cycle slightly. The direct adaptive fuzzy controller offers adaptability and robustness against parameter variations and ensures the stability of the duty cycle. Although the fuzzy-PID controller has superior performance in stability, minimal overshoot, and least steady-state error, choosing a controller depends on the specific requirements of the application.
