چکیده :
The switched reluctance motor (SRM) is well-suited for high-speed applications due to its high starting torque and efficiency. However, it faces challenges in generating sufficient torque at high speeds, primarily due to limited excitation time and slow demagnetization. To ensure optimal performance of high-speed SRM drive systems, applying a fast demagnetization voltage to reduce current effectively is essential. This article presents the design of a high-speed SRM with a base speed of 14,000 rpm and up to 18,000 rpm in the constant power region. It explores electromagnetic and mechanical analyses under various demagnetization conditions, including those using an asymmetric half-bridge converter, a converter with enhanced demagnetization capability, and soft demagnetization voltage. Mechanical analysis focuses on vibration and acoustic noise, driven primarily by radial forces, the main source of vibration. Electromagnetic analysis is conducted using a 2D model in Ansys Maxwell, while vibration and acoustic noise assessments are performed with a 3D model in Ansys Workbench. The study simulates and discusses results across three distinct demagnetization states.
