Optimization of 915nm laser diode asymmetric structure: experimental and theoretical studies in tandem

چکیده :
Analytical modeling of the different parameter effects in the 915 nm laser diode optical losses is done. It was confirmed that the relative position of quantum well(s) in the waveguide region is the crucial point in designing the SCH. The amount of injected current density and also cavity length were found to be important in determining the total optical loss and the power conversion efficiency. The laser device was simulated based on the proposed structure which was predicted with the lowest optical losses. The final predicted structure was fabricated. The obtained experimental characteristics showed a considerable accordance with the simulated results. This work made a suitable tandem between simulation and experiment.
