Optimization of 915nm laser diode asymmetric ‎structure: experimental and theoretical studies in ‎tandem

چکیده :

Analytical modeling of the different parameter effects in the ‎‎915 nm laser diode optical losses is done. It was confirmed that ‎the relative position of quantum well(s) in the waveguide region ‎is the crucial point in designing the SCH. The amount of ‎injected current density and also cavity length were found to be ‎important in determining the total optical loss and the power ‎conversion efficiency. The laser device was simulated based on ‎the proposed structure which was predicted with the lowest ‎optical losses. The final predicted structure was fabricated. The ‎obtained experimental characteristics showed a considerable ‎accordance with the simulated results. This work made a ‎suitable tandem between simulation and experiment.‎
