چکیده :
This paper proposes two new high step-down-up power factor correction active rectifiers. The main advantage of the proposed rectifiers compared to previous works, is the provision of the positive or negative buck-boost voltage gain ratio with the lowest number of semiconductor device count conducting simultaneously and the continuous input current. The converter also provides high step-down operation, and facilitates positive or negative output voltages with a low number of semiconductor devices conducting simultaneously. High power factor, acceptable grid side current quality and high efficiency are also achieved. Experimental results are presented for a 500 W prototype, operating from 220 Vrms input to $\pm$48 Vdc output. The experimental results demonstrate the capability for high step-down and step-up ac to dc power conversion with a peak efficiencies of 97.3\% and 96.7\%.
