چکیده :
This paper proposes an ultra-wideband, robust, low-cost double-ridge horn antenna (DRHA). The traditional DRHA radiation patterns cannot keep good characteristics in the whole frequency band, but the main lobes would split, and the gain would decline when the frequency is above 12 GHz. The gaps between the internal structure, especially those formed in the feeding section in the design, could profoundly affect the antenna's performance. The proposed antenna can achieve good radiation characteristics over the whole frequency band from 0.7 to 18 GHz. The VSWR is less than 2; the gain is from 8.3 to 17.8 dBi and is significantly improved and reliable in the high-frequency band. The design procedure and all the dimensions of these antennas are given, along with the simulated and measured results. It is important to note that good agreement between them has been observed.
