چکیده :
In this paper, a circularly polarized (CP) metal-only spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) leaky-wave antenna (LWA) based on the holographic method is presented. The operating frequency is considered 18 GHz. Metal-only antennas offer the benefits of minimizing dielectric losses at elevated frequencies and enduring extreme environmental conditions during space exploration. The anisotropic hologram surface features a metal-only unit cell shaped like a cross with three degrees of freedom (defined by the height of the bars and their rotational angle). The anisotropicization of the hologram surface is achieved by integrating transformation optics (TO) relations with the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. The suggested metal-only LWA measures 𝟏𝟏×𝟏𝟏𝝀𝟎𝟐, and the simulation outcomes indicate that the SSPP LWA possesses an axial-ratio bandwidth ranging from 17 to 19 GHz. Additionally, the realized gain, the radiation efficiency, scanning beam angle, and side lobe level (SLL) of the suggested metal-only SSPP LWA at the design frequency were about 27.9 dBi, 87%, 10°, and -10.5 dB, respectively. The design process has utilized MATLAB and CST Microwave Studio software.
