Design and Implementation of a fast flexible and efficient multichannel digital filter for hearing aids

چکیده :
Hearing aids play an important role in human communication and information exchange. In this research, we have tried to implement a novel hearing device at very low cost and consuming low power with the aim of making it available not only to low income people but also make it very efficient considering human ear's hearing correction in a wide range of frequencies. For this, we have designed a special filter using a board has enhanced features such as processor SAM3X8E Atmel ARM Cortex-M3, with a high processing power. In this article we proposed a flexible and adaptive design in the digital filter response, FIR. We used two separate filters for compensation; one for each ear. Also, the high flexibility of the applied digital filter has its advantages over other filter. We obtained a sampling rate of up to 16 KS/s with 8 KHz of nyquist bandwidth using two channel filtering and sampling up to 25KS/s with 12.5khz of nyquist bandwidth using one channel.
