High-Efficiency Soft-Switched Quadratic Ultra-High Step-Up DC-DC Converter with Low Voltage Stress on Semiconductors

چکیده :
This study introduces an ultra-high voltage gain DC-DC topology with a quadratic-based design, specifically tailored for DC microgrid applications. The proposed topology combines a coupled inductor (CI) with a quadratic step-up topology to achieve significant voltage elevation. Voltage gain in this converter is adjustable through two main parameters: the duty cycle of the power switch and the turn ratio of a two-winding CI, offering added flexibility in the design process. Notable features of this converter include its exceptional voltage gain, minimized voltage stress on switching components, continuous input current, a shared ground between input and output, high efficiency achieved via soft switching of semiconductor devices, and coordinated switch operation. The advantages of this design are underscored through comparisons with similar configurations. The effectiveness of the proffered configuration is validated through tests on a 400W prototype performing at a 50 kHz switching frequency, with input and output voltages of 20V and 400V, respectively.
