Outage and Sum-Rate Analysis for mCAP-NOMA in Visible Light Communication Under Users' Mobility

چکیده :
In this paper, we address the outage and sum-rate performance for multiband carrierless amplitude and phase (mCAP) combined with non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) in the downlink of visible light communication (VLC) networks, where users move according to a random way point (RWP) mobility model. More precisely, we analytically derive the outage probability expression for a two-user mCAP-NOMA scheme and provide sum-rate expressions for mCAP in combination with both NOMA and orthogonal multiple access (OMA). Numerical results are presented to compare the outage performance of mCAP-NOMA with conventional NOMA, as well as to evaluate the sum-rates of mCAP combined with NOMA and OMA. Our results indicate that mCAP signaling combined with NOMA offers improved performance in terms of both outage probability and sum-rate. Finally, we analyze the impact of the field-of-view (FoV) of the optical transmitter on the sum-rate within the mCAP-NOMA scheme.
