A Single-Switch Transformer-less High Step-Up DC–DC Converter with Continuous Input Current

چکیده :
This paper introduces a non-isolated high step-up DC–DC converter intended for renewable energy systems, DC microgrids, and electric vehicle power interfaces. The designed topology combines quadratic voltage-boosting characteristics with voltage multiplier cells to achieve a high voltage conversion ratio at moderate duty ratio values. The converter provides a continuous input current and a common ground between the input and output, which improves system safety and electromagnetic compatibility. Operating principles are analyzed under continuous conduction mode (CCM), and closed-form expressions for voltage gain and semiconductor voltage rating are derived. The designed structure significantly reduces voltage rating on the active switch and diodes compared to conventional high-gain converters. Design considerations and loss analysis are also discussed to evaluate efficiency. Simulation results obtained using PLECS validate the theoretical analysis and demonstrate that the converter can achieve a voltage gain of approximately ten with low voltage rating, stable output voltage, and high efficiency, making it a suitable solution for high step-up DC–DC power conversion applications.
