Generation of orbital angular momentum modes via SSPP leaky-wave antenna based on holography technique

چکیده :
Abstract—In this paper, two different kinds of two-dimensional (2-D) SSPP leaky-wave metasurfaces are designed based on microwave holography method with different OAM modes at a single frequency (18GHz). The classic leaky-wave theory and a microwave holography principle are combined to design the SSPP leaky-wave metasurfaces-based holography technique. By combining the SSPP leaky-wave metasurfaces concept and the holography principle, an isotropic artificial surface impedance is developed. This isotropic artificial surface impedance consists of hollow hexagonal metallic. Each unit cell has a hollow hexagonal metallic with a period of 2"." 6mm. The size of both metasurfaces is similar as 10"." 6×10"." 6λ_(0 )^2. The monopole launcher is utilized for the excitation. The objective waves are represented by the desired beams carrying different orbital angular momentum modes. The simulations are carried out by MATLAB and CST Microwave Studio software.
