چکیده :
Ridge gap waveguide (RGW) technology offers an innovative approach to the design and fabrication of microwave components, providing key benefits such as low-loss performance, ease of manufacturing, and the capability to create multilayer structures without requiring electrical connections between metallic layers. Particularly effective at high frequencies, RGW technology supports quasi-TEM wave propagation in an air region, minimizing conduction and dielectric losses. This paper presents the design and simulation of an 18 dB multihole coupler based on RGW technology, optimized for operation in the 21-32 GHz frequency range. The proposed coupler exhibits a stable 18 dB coupling coefficient, and isolation exceeding 30 dB, achieving a 41.5% fractional bandwidth. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the widest fractional bandwidth ever reported for an RGW multi-hole waveguide coupler. These results highlight the suitability of RGW technology for broadband, highfrequency applications, showcasing its potential in developing advanced and efficient microwave components.
