Control of optical bistability in one-dimensional photonic crystals with a central layer doped with Landa-type three-level atoms using atomic and laser parameters

چکیده :
— we investigate optical bistability within a one-dimensional photonic crystal, where the central layer is doped with three-level lambda-type atoms (87Rb). A semi-classical model is employed to elucidate the interaction between light and atoms. Specifically, the impact of varying the incidence angle of probe light and adjusting the Rabi frequency of the coupling field during tilted radiation on the maximum light transmission coefficient and optical bistability thresholds is examined. Transfer matrix methods are utilized to analyze the transmission coefficient of the photonic crystal system, considering different incident angles and Rabi frequencies. Results demonstrate that optical bistability thresholds and maximum transmission can be controlled by manipulating atomic parameters and incident angles. Additionally, the dependence of optical bistability on the Rabi frequency of the coupled field suggests avenues for optimizing transmission, particularly for oblique angles. These findings provide insights into the design and optimization of optical devices for diverse applications in photonics and optical signal processing
