چکیده :
In recent years, due to the limited nature of fossil fuel resources, the detrimental environmental impacts of burning these fuels, the increasing cost of energy carriers, and the subsequent policies to phase out subsidies, the issue of energy conservation has become more prominent. Additionally, extensive research has been conducted in the field of clean and renewable energy and energy optimization. In this area, intelligent building management systems have gained significant importance. This study addresses a critical research gap by simultaneously analyzing the impact of BEMS on both electricity and natural gas consumption, unlike most previous studies focused solely on electricity. Additionally, it examines the potential reduction in pollutant emissions. The most notable benefits include energy conservation, improved environmental health, and enhanced occupant comfort, which contribute to the creation of green buildings. Finally, the results of implementing this system in an office building in Birjand city have been examined. The results show a remarkable reduction of 28.7% in electricity and 9.7% in gas consumption alongside a decrease around 9.68% in harmful environmental impacts. Therefore, this study underscores the transformative potential of intelligent building management system, paving the way for a future where buildings are not just energy-efficient but also adaptive, resilient, and environmentally responsible.
