چکیده :
Abstract— Maintaining long-term engagement among agents, employees, or clients is one of the challenges that organizations face today, especially since the traditional incentives no longer align as well as in the past with changing behaviors and expectations of the clientele. This study investigates how these challenges can be handled within an organization that outsources tasks to autonomous agents and seeks to keep them engaged and motivated using a personalized gamification configuration. This research identifies key operational and motivational factors that drive engagement. Using this information, we can create tailored gamification strategies that include customized rewards, specific actions, and engaging elements (gamifiers), all of which are directly linked to brokerage tasks. In this study, agent-based modeling (ABM) was employed to test gamification strategies by simulating communities of brokers with diverse personality traits, based on the Big Five personality model. The simulations showed us that gamification tailored to specific personality types can significantly enhance long-term engagement. It was noticeable in the results that extraverted agents responded particularly well to social recognition and competitive challenges, while conscientious agents preferred clear progress tracking and structured milestones. As a sample community, the data of an insurance company was utilized as the model’s input. Simulations showed that dynamic gamification strategies, the ones that evolve over time, performed better than static ones, highlighting how important the adaptive and personalized engagement mechanisms are. The results led us to believe that alignment of gamification techniques with psychological traits and specific business tasks contributes to improved productivity, increased motivation, and better alignment with business goals. While the study specifically targets insurance brokerages, the findings and model developed can easily be applied to other industries pursuing improved participation and engagement through intelligent, personalized gamification.
