چکیده :
This paper proposes a model predictive control (MPC) with a two-step horizon for a three-phase grid-tied two-level split-source inverter (SSI). The proposed controller aims to enhance the performance of SSI by ensuring high power-quality for the grid-connected renewable energy systems. This is achieved by dividing the control process into two steps: a short-term prediction step and a long-term one. Input current and grid three-phase currents compose the cost function of this strategy. The proposed MPC is validated through simulation results and compared with the one-step prediction method. The results confirm that the proposed simple algorithm provides better performance in terms of total harmonic distortion (THD), input current ripple, and system dynamic response.
