Design and fabrication of dielectric resonator antenna using epoxy resin nanocomposite for X-band applications

چکیده :
In this study, the design, analysis and fabrication of a dielectric resonator array (DRA) antenna based on epoxy resin containing TiO₂ nanoparticles have been investigated. This material has a dielectric constant of 2.8 and a loss tangent of 0.04 and plays an effective role in improving the antenna performance due to its suitable dielectric properties. The proposed antenna covers the frequency range of 9.4 to 11.9 GHz and is designed for telecommunication applications in the X-band. The antenna substrate was selected from Rogers 4003 with dimensions of 60 × 45 mm^2 and a thickness of 0.8 mm. Then, with a suitable arrangement of the resonator elements, the antenna array was designed and tuned to increase the radiation gain and effective bandwidth. The simulation results and experiments show that the use of TiO₂ epoxy nanocomposite has improved impedance matching, increased gain, and reduced dielectric losses. Therefore, the proposed antenna can be an efficient option for satellite communication systems and X-band applications.
