چکیده :
This study presents the design, simulation, and optimization of a metamaterial-based biosensor utilizing a Split Ring Resonator (SRR) for breast cancer detection. The sensor operates within the microwave frequency range, with a predicted resonance frequency of approximately 4.47 GHz, derived from the theoretical analysis of the metallic ring dimensions and substrate properties. This frequency range is selected to maximize sensitivity to variations in the dielectric properties of biological samples. The sensor detects subtle changes in the electromagnetic properties of breast cancer cells, enabling accurate differentiation between healthy and cancerous tissues. Its performance is evaluated using breast cancer cell samples, achieving a sensitivity of RIU 1.71 with the inclusion of a practical 1-mm glass layer. This enhancement not only improves detection accuracy but also ensures compatibility with real-world experimental setups. The results highlight the sensor's potential as a compact, sensitive, and non-invasive diagnostic tool for early-stage cancer detection.
