Fault tolerant control design for linear systems based on cubic observers

چکیده :
In this paper, a fault tolerant control (FTC) scheme based on a new observer is proposed for linear systems. The aim of this FTC strategy is to compensate the effects of actuator faults using a generalized cubic observer which is able to estimate both the states of the system and the actuator faults. Based on the information provided by observer, a feedback control law is formulated to stabilize the system. Linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions are presented to compute the design parameters for both the observer and the feedback controller. The effectiveness of the proposed design technique is demonstrated through numerical example.
