Single Switch DC-DC Boost Converter with High Gain and Low Voltage Stress on the Switch for Renewable Energy Applications

چکیده :
Abstract—This paper introduces a high-gain DC-DC converter. This converter can be used in renewable energy systems due to its features. The proposed topology includes an integrated boost converter using a coupled inductor (CI) that allows for voltage boosting. The output voltage of this converter can be controlled by two key parameters: the duty cycle of the switch and the turns ratio of the coupled inductor. This dual adjustment capability increases the flexibility and better adapts the converter to various application needs. The most important advantages of this design include high voltage gain, reduced voltage stress on the switch, and the presence of a common ground between the input and output, the latter feature simplifying the process of integrating the converter into different systems. Compared to many conventional topologies, this structure has higher efficiency and performance. For practical evaluation, a 200W prototype with a switching frequency of 50kHz was simulated. This prototype successfully boosted the input voltage of 20V to 164V output, demonstrating satisfactory performance and high gain.
