Improved Operational Stability of CsFAMA Perovskite Solar Cells Through the Incorporation of Tetrabutylammonium Perchlorate in the Precursor

Despite their rapid advancement driven by outstanding power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) and low-cost fabrication techniques, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) still face critical stability challenges that limits their commercialization. In this work, we explored the effect of the tetrabutylammonium perchlorate (TBAP) additive on the performance and stability of CsFAMA PSCs. Enabling improved absorption and carrier extraction, the champion device with a PCE of 16.81% was included in the subset containing 1 mg ml-1 TBAP (TBAP1). Compared with the reference sample (Ref), the TBAP1 device exhibited superior operational stability, preserving 97.3% of its initial output power under 600 seconds of continuous light exposure. Furthermore, after 30 current density-voltage (J-V) scans under uninterrupted 100 mW cm-1 illumination, the reductions in PCE, FF, and Jsc of the TBAP1 sample were significantly lower than those observed in the Ref counterpart.
