Fault Zone Identification and Fault Location in Hybrid Three-Terminal Transmission Lines

چکیده :
This article presents a comprehensive protection scheme for hybrid networks with a T-off configuration, connecting an industrial-residential microgrid to HVDC and HVAC lines. Using synchronous voltages from four key points, the method applies Enhanced Local Mode Decomposition (LMD) and Hilbert Transform (HT) to extract traveling wave frequencies. This approach identifies fault sections and estimates locations without requiring wave propagation speed. Simulations show high accuracy with an average error of 0.41 km, ensuring reliability for modern hybrid power systems.
