چکیده :
This paper investigates the control of isothermal continuous stirred tank reactors (CSTRs) in the presence of external disturbances and input sector nonlinearity. First, a singular model for isothermal CSTRs is introduced. By combining the H∞ control method and sliding mode control, a new approach to control these systems is presented. Integral sliding surfaces are defined based on the singular model. It is then shown that the system states can be brought to these sliding surfaces in finite time. Sufficient conditions for asymptotic admissibility and H∞ performance of the sliding mode dynamic are derived and the parameters of the sliding surfaces are designed by solving some linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified using computer simulation
