A Single Switch Ultra-High Step-Up Converter With Continuous Input Current and Soft Switching For Renewable Energy Applications

چکیده :
This paper presents an ultra-high step-up DC-DC converter featuring continuous input current. By employing coupled inductors in combination with switched-capacitor techniques, the voltage gain of the converter is significantly enhanced. A passive clamp circuit is incorporated to capture the energy associated with the leakage inductance of the coupled inductor and effectively transfer it to the output. Moreover, the reverse recovery problem of almost all diodes is mitigated through the proposed operating mechanism. The converter also maintains a common ground between the input and output terminals. The operating principles and steady-state analysis of the proposed converter are thoroughly investigated, and its performance is verified through simulations. A detailed loss breakdown analysis is conducted. In addition, the advantages of the proposed converter are highlighted through a comparative study with several existing topologies.
