Quadratic Boost Converter with High gain and Low Voltage Stress on the Single Switch, Applicable to Renewable Energy Systems

چکیده :
Abstract—This paper presents a high gain quadratic DCDC converter designed for application in renewable energy systems. The proposed topology is a boost converter integrated with a coupled inductor that provides voltage boost. The converter allows for output voltage tuning via two main parameters: the duty cycle of the switch and the turns ratio of the coupled inductor (CI) coils. This dual tuning capability provides significant flexibility and increases the adaptability of the converter to diverse application needs. The proposed design offers several advantages, including high voltage gain, reduced voltage stress on the switch, and the presence of a common ground between the input and output. This last feature allows for easier integration of the converter into various systems. Compared to other common topologies, this converter has higher efficiency and effectiveness. Its performance and efficiency have been verified through simulation on a 200 watt prototype. This prototype operated at a switching frequency of 50 kHz and it was able to successfully increase an input voltage of 20 V to an output voltage of 290 V.
