چکیده :
Feedback-related negativity (FRN) is a well-established electrophysiological marker of outcome evaluation; however, its neural generators and network-level mechanisms remain under debate, particularly in paradigms without explicit outcome probability manipulation. The present study focuses on the cortical sources and functional connectivity underlying FRN using high-density EEG. Source localization was performed using both equivalent current dipole modeling and eLORETA, revealing a dominant generator in the medial frontal cortex, centered on the dorsal anterior cingulate cortex (dACC). To further characterize network-level interactions, functional connectivity analysis was conducted among source-reconstructed regions using coherence measures. Results indicate that FRN emerges from a distributed fronto-cingulo-parietal network, with the dACC acting as a central hub coordinating information flow. These findings support a network-based interpretation of FRN generation and highlight the role of medial frontal structures in outcome monitoring independent of explicit probability cues
