Simultaneous Subcarrier Assignment and Power Allocation for Multicarrier Integrated Radar-Communication System

چکیده :
This paper investigates the joint subcarrier assignment (SCA) and power allocation (PA) problem, aiming to optimize simultaneously the radar and communication performance in an integrated radar-communication (IRC) system. Unlike existing studies on either SCA or PA, a novel joint SCA-PA is proposed for radar-centric and communication-centric scenarios. At first, the optimization problem for joint resource allocation is formulated for both scenarios, and then a two-stage solution is proposed to select appropriate resources for the radar application and to determine the optimal resources for the communication transmitter. A heuristic solution utilizing an iterative greedy-based algorithm followed by a convex optimization (CO) framework is proposed to tackle the issue. Numerical results indicate that with the exploitation of the cyclic optimization algorithm (COA), the optimal solution can be obtained within a reasonable computation time.
