چکیده :
Bi-static radars are powerful tools for aerial target detection. A synchronized transmitter/receiver pair can be used to estimate the range of a target, but more is needed to locate targets precisely. The range rate information of a moving target can solve the problem, but it fails when the target moves toward the bi-static radar baseline. This paper proposes using Doppler rate to fix the situation. The numerical results show that the proposed algorithm locates the target in the mentioned scenario as well as in other scenarios, while the velocity of the target is also estimated. Moreover, the implementation of the method is easy and inexpensive.
