Application of Floquet theory in three-body problem: Periodic attitude motion

چکیده :
Advances in science, interest in exploration and research on unknown phenomena in deep space has increased. One of the most important issues regarding these discoveries is the possibility of continuous data transmission by space telescopes to the ground station, which in the first step requires having the periodic orbits and periodic attitude motion of the spacecraft. Also, deep space simulation is one of the main requirements of this work. As the three-body problem can be recognized as one of the closest environments to deep space, this paper introduces the application of Floquet theory to achieve periodic attitude behavior in the Circular Restricted Three-Body Problem (CRTBP). To have periodic attitude motion, the periodic orbit of CRTBP must be identified. Therefor periodic Lyapunov orbits are introduced first. Then periodic attitude motion is obtained in Lyapunov orbits by employing Floquet theory. The Floquet theory is powerful tool to achieve periodic solution in chaos system and can beneficial to identify periodic attitude motion in CRTBP. Moreover, this method offers distinct advantages over previous approaches like Poincaré maps, particularly in detecting the optimal inertia ratio required for the spacecraft.
