Magnetic Characterization of Ferrites Using Metal-Coated Ferrite Disk Resonators in Cylindrical Cavity

چکیده :
We experimentally characterize microwave ferrites at X-band frequencies by measuring their saturation magnetization and linewidth using disk-shaped samples. Using a cylindrical cavity resonator operating in the TE$_{111}$ mode, we extract the saturation magnetization from the measured resonant frequencies based on cavity perturbation theory and observe good agreement between experimental and simulated results. Because this approach relies on the cavity resonance, its sensitivity to the ferrite linewidth is limited. To better determine the ferrite linewidth, we introduce metal-plated ferrite disk resonators inside the cavity. This configuration forms an independent resonant structure operating near the cavity frequency, produces deeper and more clearly resolved resonances, and enables a more accurate and reliable determination of the ferrite linewidth.
