چکیده :
This paper presents a reconfigurable dual-band magneto-electric dipole (MED) antenna designed using an aperture-coupled microstrip feeding technique and dual-height electric dipoles. The antenna is constructed on a five-layer FR4 substrate, utilizing electromagnetic coupling between the feed line and radiating elements through a modified rectangular coupling slot. Reconfigurability is achieved by incorporating two mechanical switches at the ends of the slot. When the switches are OFF, the antenna operates over a wide 2.36–3.56 GHz frequency range. In the ON state, it supports dual-band operation, covering frequencies from 2.22–2.62 GHz and 3.05–4.63 GHz. Measured results demonstrate stable radiation patterns, peak gains exceeding 7 dBi, and radiation efficiency surpassing 93%.
