Terahertz transceiver front-end based on spatiotemporally modulated graphene-based structures

چکیده :
A new structure is proposed to encapsulate all components of a THz transceiver front-end in one device. The proposed device utilizes extraordinary features of spatiotemporally modulated structures, such as nonreciprocal response and frequency mixing, to integrate all functionalities of a THz transceiver front-end in one unit. We have implemented a leaky wave antenna, mixer, and duplexer with the capability of beam steering, all in a spatiotemporal graphene-based waveguide. The performance of the proposed device, both in the transmit and receive modes is numerically investigated and discussed.
