Coordinated Smart Home Energy Management in PV-Integrated Residential Microgrids: A Comparative Study of Community and Private Energy Storage Systems

چکیده :
This paper proposes a novel interactive energy management approach for residential smart microgrids. The model incorporates consumer-financed Community Energy Storage Systems (CESS) and provides a comparative analysis between private and community storage in terms of investment cost and reduction in electricity payments. A two-level scheduling framework is employed to minimize consumer bills. At the first level, the Integrated Home Energy Management (iHEM) system schedules shiftable appliances based on signals from the Residential Microgrid Operator (RMGO), considering non-shiftable loads and rooftop photovoltaic (PV) units. At the second level, the Community Energy Storage System Operator (CESSO) further reduces costs by rescheduling appliances and optimally operating the community storage, also determining the required battery capacity and investment cost for subscribers. The proposed model is developed as a mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) problem aimed at minimizing electricity costs while satisfying all operational constraints. Implemented in the GAMS software, the simulations confirm the effectiveness of this coordinated approach in achieving significant cost savings for consumers.
