چکیده :
Abstract: Synchronous switching decreases the transient overvoltages caused by energizing a transmission line. The proposed algorithm controls the synchronized closing time of each of the three phases of the circuit breaker (CB) of an open-ended uncompensated transmission line adaptively by considering the coupling voltages between the line phases. To apply this adaptive feature, the expected delays in sending the command to each phase of C.B., based on the mathematical relations and independent of the transmission line configuration (being transposed or not, having any number of bundles, or of any length (, and the required time duration for mechanical operation during the closing process of each phase. The results show that by implementing this algorithm, each pole of an installed CB will be closed accurately at zero voltage (assuming that CB is either ideal or the arcing time duration and the switching time variations due to the scatter of the CB mechanical time features is compensated for.).
