چکیده :
This paper presents an efficient near vertical incidence skywave (NVIS) high-frequency (HF) hinged half-loop vehicular antenna. The antenna consists of two main loops that play as the main radiating elements and also four smaller loops that both improve the antenna performance and help the dynamic performance of the overall structure under unwanted stress and road irregularities. The antenna arms are folded to completely cover an area as large as the roof of the car. Utilizing the theory of characteristic modes, we identify suitable platform modes and ascertain practical methods for their excitation. This approach enables a substantial increase in the bandwidth of the proposed antenna compared to the isolated antenna system bandwidth at 25 MHz. The antenna pattern and return loss are reported and further discussions related to tuning network and measurement will be presented at the conference.
