Design of Dual-Band Triangular Microstrip Antenna Using Fractal Structure for Wi-Max and Wi-Fi Applications

چکیده :
This article examines a dual-band triangular microstrip antenna in Wi-Fi and Wi-Max applications. The proposed structure operates in two frequency bands with center frequencies of 3.0GHz and 5.8GHz. Additionally, a rectangular slot and a fractal structure are utilized on the patch surface. One of the significant achievements of this article is the increase in gain in the 5.8GHz while maintaining a constant gain in the first frequency band. Another positive aspect of this article is the improvement in impedance matching in both frequency bands. Additionally, through the utilization of optimization methods, a more compact structure has been attained. Also, by using a fractal structure on the surface of the patch, we could increase bandwidth in both frequency bands. Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Studio simulator is exploited to analyze the performance of the antenna. The results show the obtained return loss is -33.30dB, -30.82dB, Gain is 7.63dB, 6.80dB, and bandwidth 68MHz, 198MHz at 3.0GHz and 5.8GHz respectively.
