چکیده :
Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) systems have recently gained significant attention as a promising solution for efficient hardware and spectrum utilization. However, employing ISAC technology poses challenges to communication systems such as interference and the risk of eavesdropping. In this paper, we aim to deploy the simultaneously transmitting and reflecting RIS (STAR-RIS) as an effective strategy to alleviate the multi-user and target interferences, thereby enhancing the total performance of the ISAC communication systems. There-fore, we formulate an optimization problem to maximize the SINR, subject to constraints on the transmission and reflection beamforming coefficients, sensing SNR target, BS beamforming coefficients, and the BS’s transmitting power. The numerical results demonstrate that the proposed approach substantially outperforms the state-of-the-art methods in terms of multiuser interference
