چکیده :
Parkinson's disease (PD) is a common disease associated with prominent symptoms such as hand tremors and muscular rigidity. Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is a commonly used therapy for alleviating the symptoms of that condition. Implementing a closed-loop control system for deep brain stimulation (DBS) that applies a basal ganglia (BG) model is a common method for tremor determination in Parkinson's patients. In order to reduce Parkinson's tremor and decrease the necessary amount of stimulation, this work details the successful simultaneous control of two regions inside the basal ganglia (BG), specifically the subthalamic nucleus (STN) and the globus pallidus internal (GPi). A partial state feedback controller is used to regulate the GPi, while an adaptive smooth super twisting sliding mode controller is used to stimulate STN. According to the results of the simulation, the proposed method is superior and more successful than adaptive sliding mode control.
