Integrating Distributed Renewables in Smart Urban Environments: A Smart Home Energy Management Approach

چکیده :
This study introduces a smart energy management approach designed to enhance the scheduling of household appliances by integrating distributed renewable generation into daily operations. In modeling the hybrid system of wind and photovoltaic sources, the stochastic fluctuations of wind speed and solar irradiance are explicitly considered. The Weibull distribution is employed for wind behavior, while the Beta distribution characterizes solar radiation patterns. Moreover, a multi-objective dragonfly algorithm is employed to minimize electricity costs and peak demand under realistic operational constraints to achieve both economic and technical efficiency. The Pareto-optimal solutions are evaluated using a fuzzy decision-making approach to identify the most balanced scheduling strategy. Through simulation analysis, the effectiveness of the developed method is validated, showing notable improvements in residential energy utilization. So, the results show that extending this approach to urban contexts offers a scalable pathway for integrating distributed renewables into smart city infrastructures, contributing to sustainable energy planning and demand-side management.
