چکیده :
The reliable operation of power transformers is an essential factor for the high availability of electric energy. The technology utilized to determine the condition of the transformer winding has a direct impact on the transformer operation and maintenance. The vibration analysis of the winding is one of the monitoring methods that has been proposed for the power transformers recently. Accordingly, this paper presents an analysis of vibration characteristics and comprehensive modeling of a power transformer, which is primarily based on the finite element method (FEM). This model is built with a multi-physics coupling simulation of the circuit, magnetic field, and solid mechanics of the transformer. The basic principle of this model is based on the correlation analysis of winding vibrations. The results of the paper show that using continuous monitoring of transformer vibration signals, a comparative method can be provided to assess the mechanical condition of transformer windings.
