چکیده :
Abstract–Generating hydroelectric power performs an important role in the energy policy aiming at less dependency to fossil fuels. In deregulated environment based on profit, hydroelectric generating company is a utility owing individual generating facilities that participate in the electricity market with ultimate intention of maximizing its own payoffs. This paper solves coordination problem of Hydro-Thermal units and determining of price-taker cascade hydroelectric generating companies in a day-ahead energy market considering operational constraints and transition network constraints. Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm and Fuzzy Satisfying Method are employed for solving the proposed model and determining optimal bidding strategies. An eight-bus system is used to illustrate the proposed method.
