Wide-Band Linear to Linear Fish-Bone Polarizer using Metasurfaces

چکیده :
This work presents a three-layer meta-surface polarizer unit cell inspired by Fabry–Pérot cavity principles to achieve wideband polarization conversion. A fish bone middle layer enhances conversion efficiency compared to conventional diagonal structures, while top and bottom gratings act as selective filters enforcing polarization transformation. The design, fabricated on Rogers RO4003 dielectric, achieves cross-polarization transmission efficiency above 80% across 3.59–12.47 GHz, covering C, X, and portions of Ku-bands. Polarization conversion rate (PCR) and energy conversion rate (ECR) analyses confirm efficiency exceeding 90% in multiple bands.
